Ashley Wagner was given birth to on May 16, 1991, in Heidelberg. Ashley was a teenager who spent much of her time with older women. The effect on her self-esteem was as she believed that they were more mature and according to her, prettier, than her. Ashley describes herself as an "hot mess" as a teenager. Ashley's mom enrolled her in training classes for modeling to increase her confidence, and Ashley started to think about becoming a model as an option for a future profession.
